Welcome to News from Michael Stevens & Partners “The Complete Multi-viewer” from Chromatec IBC is now a fading memory but many of us are still following through on the enquiries generated by the show. Those of you who stopped by the Michael Stevens & Partners stand will have seen that our exhibit was dominated by the displays showing the new Offered as the complete multi-viewer, the new Chromatec MV-xx can be configured as a single unit with up to 64 video inputs or as a dual multi-viewer with up to 2 x 32 inputs. It accepts a wide range of analogue and digital video formats up to HD 1080p, 3 Gbps. Drawing on Chromatec’s experience with audio monitoring it can display up to 1024 audio channels. There are 2 x DVI-I outputs per multi-viewer. To accommodate the need to display “on air” tallies, alarms for video and audio errors, timecode, safe area markers, clocks, logos, graphics and UMDs, each image “tile” is fully configurable through a user-friendly menu, including time controlled change of set ups.
