Quad-Quad Split & Alarm System
| Q-Split is primarily intended for combining four independent serial digital video sources into a single video output, so that each of the four sources occupies a quadrant when displayed. Q-Split can alternatively be used for source switching, video format conversion and aspect ratio conversion, since any one of the four inputs can be |
displayed full screen. Video alarm functions are included. The hardware comprises a 1U frame into which may be fitted 1, 2, 3 or 4 Q-Split modules. Each module is fitted with 4 x SDI inputs and will simultaneously output SDI, DVI-I, and optionally Composite or S-Video. Aspect ratio conversion is provided for the module outputs. |
|
| Q-Split has applications in several different areas of operation where a simple and inexpensive quad splitter is required: | Rear Panel: |
| • Control room monitoring • OB truck installations • Ideal for use with the Chromatec E-Series in-picture audio meter system, allowing the SDI outputs from 16 Eurocards to be displayed on four monitors. |
• Up to four Q-Split modules in a 1U frame • 4 x SDI I/P with SDI, DVI-I and composite or S-Video O/Ps per module • Master frame alarm port with quadrant border tally I/Ps • RS232 Serial Port |
Features
• 1U frame will accept 1, 2, 3 or 4 Q-Split modules. |
• Tally inputs for highlighting quadrant borders.. • SDI, DVI-I (analogue digital, up to SXGA resolution) & Composite or S-Video outputs per module. • Character insertion via PS/2 keyboard socket for quadrant l abelling. • Selectable quadrant border options. • Setup via on-screen menu. |
